Small groups and individuals have no fear! We will get you on a ride that may not be full, so no matter how small your group is, give us a call and we will fit you in.
Or have a private shindig and rent the whole bike for:
- $350.00 (plus taxes) Sunday through Wednesday for a 2 hour Ride
- $390.00 (plus taxes) Thursday through Saturday for a 2 hour Ride
Gift certificates are available. Call 912-414-5634.
WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY?
No refunds for cancellations/changes to the original reservation within 3 days of tour. If using a gift certificate or voucher, cancellations within 72 hours of your ride voids the gift certificate or voucher – NO EXCEPTIONS. Tours run rain or shine, unless weather is severe at the time of departure. In a case of severe weather, a rain check will be issued for a later date. Please submit all changes/cancellations via email. Thanks, the Management.
WHAT IS THE LEAST AMOUNT OF PEOPLE NEEDED TO OPERATE THIS THING?
The Slow Ride needs a minimum of six people to go out on a tour. If fewer than six people are signed up, we will call you to reschedule or unfortunately cancel.
ARE DRINKS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE OF THE TOUR?
WHERE DO WE MEET?
We meet at 420 W. Bryan Street, off of Franklin Square in City Market. Please arrive 15 minutes before your ride.
WHAT IF IT RAINS?
Unless weather is severe (thunder and lightning), WE WILL RIDE. This is very important, nobody will melt. We cannot tell the future, so if it is raining that morning and the ride is at 5pm, resist the urge to call and ask what happens if it rains. We will tell you to wait until it is closer to the ride and we will make a call. It’s actually really fun when it rains, groups have a blast. Plus there is a roof so you will stay pretty dry. Remember, some people Ride in the rain, and some people just get wet.
DO I HAVE TO BE 21 YEARS OLD TO RIDE?
Pub Crawls are 21+. All other guided tours (History and Boos Cruise), 21+ on Fridays and Saturdays, however Sunday through Thursday, 12 years and older are welcome.
HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN FIT ON THE SLOW RIDE?
It can hold up to 15 riders, there are 10 seats with pedals (with seat backs!), 2 seats above the back wheels without pedals, and a bench seat on the back that holds 3.
WHAT IF MY GUEST LIST IS LARGER THAN 15?
Have no fear, we have 8 Slow Rides in our fleet and have a blast with larger groups. Give us a call and we can put something together and play follow the leader through the city.
DO YOU DO PRIVATE PARTIES?
Of course! If you would like to rent the Slow Ride for a private event just let us know and the whole shebang is yours for $350.00 (plus taxes) Sunday through Wednesday, and $390.00 (plus taxes) on Thursday through Saturday.
WHO DRIVES THIS THING?
We provide a driver from our company who steers and controls the vehicle. All the passengers do is pedal which powers the “contraption”. Please be aware that if anyone gets too crazy (that is up to our trusted driver), they will be asked to leave the Ride and find their own way home. We have worked hard to get our permits and need to behave.
WHERE SHOULD I PARK?
There is lots of street parking, but it costs $2.00 per hour, Monday through Saturday from 8am until 8pm. There is a parking lot at the end of the block that costs $10 per every 5 hours. There is street, lot or public parking garages to choose from in City Market.
CAN WE BRING FOOD ONBOARD?
Sure you can, we have lots of storage space on the Savannah Slow Ride.
CAN WE DRINK WHILE ONBOARD?
As long as we are operating within Savannah’s open container laws. What does that mean you may ask? There is no alcohol allowed in coolers. However as long as your libation is in a regulation plastic cup and was purchased from a pub, that is a go.
WHAT'S THE MUSIC SITUATION?
We have speakers so music will be provided. We welcome your iPods or phones, just no offensive lyrics. Please leave the 2 Live Crew at home.
HOW FAST DOES THIS BAD BOY GO?
It goes about 5 miles an hour…
WHO CAN RIDE ON THE SLOW RIDE?
You must be 18+ to ride without a parent/guardian. Kids under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian who will sign a release for the minor. Dog friendly too!
YOU MUST BE THIS TALL TO RIDE…
All heights are welcome, but if you are under 5’0, you might be stretching to reach the pedals. If you are shorter, not a big deal, take the bench seat. Weight limits do apply, please call for details.
DO I NEED TO BE AN ATHLETE TO RIDE?
No, but you may break a sweat! Please keep certain physical limitations under consideration.
WHO WEARS THE PANTS ON THIS SLOW RIDE?
Please be considerate of your surroundings and our drivers will remind you kindly if things get hairy. The person who made the reservation will be the decision maker on the ride. The driver will be in communication with him/her ONLY about routes, destinations along the way and timing. Remember that most of the time there are Riders waiting to board when your Ride is over, so every Ride MUST return to the origination point within 10 minutes of the scheduled end time. Our Slow Ride operators are wearing the big boy pants, the reservation makers wear coo-lots.
WHAT IF THE GROUP GETS NAUGHTY AND IS ASKED TO SCRAM?
Inappropriate behavior before, during, and after tours will result in the offending passenger(s) being asked to un-board the Slow Ride, and the passenger’s subsequent responsibility to find their own way home. Behavior considered “inappropriate” is left to the discretion of the Slow Ride driver/tour guide. Inappropriate behavior includes, but is not limited to:
-Possession of an open container of alcohol while on the Slow Ride that is not within Savannah’s open container laws
-Verbal or physical harassment of other riders, the Guide, or third parties
-Refusal to yield to the requests of the Slow Ride Guide
-Physically endangering themselves by acting careless on the bike (i.e. jumping off the moving Slow Ride, pushing others, etc.)
If the guide has determined the group can no longer ride the Slow Ride responsibility we have the right to charge the credit card holding the reservation $100.00.
CAN WE MAKE OUR OWN ROUTE?
No. Next question please.
IS IT DANGEROUS?
It’s just like riding a bike… No seriously, as with anything some risk is involved, however very few injuries have occurred.
